Twice Bitten – Late Cut

Bad Elephant Music is proud to announce the release of Late Cut, the CD album celebrating the 30th anniversary of legendary ‘heavy wood’ duo Twice Bitten’s No Third Man album.

Late Cut comprises the seven songs originally recorded for No Third Man in 1985, lovingly restored and remastered for CD, together with two brand new tracks (including the duo’s concert favourite, Crocus Point) recorded by renowned engineer Dave Hadley (Gomez, Pulp, The Mission) and mixed by Kevin Feazey (The Fierce And The Dead, The Murder Barn).

“It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time”, says Rog Patterson of Twice Bitten. “All that ‘we’ll release it in a minute’ rubbish is a thing of the (extremely distant) past. Thanks to the enthusiasm (and fiscal ineptitude) of our old chum David at Bad Elephant Music, this is actually happening.”

David Elliott (BEM): “Twice Bitten was where my involvement in music really started. I was part of Greg’s and Rog’s road crew back in the Eighties, becoming one of the five people in the world who can tune a 12-string guitar. Working with Rog and Greg on Late Cut feels like coming home. I couldn’t not release this one, so fortunately it’s excellent. I learned to eat curry by hanging out with these people”.

Late Cut will be released on CD and as a digital download on 2nd October 2015. The first 100 CD orders will receive numbered and signed albums, and a bonus disc containing the first ever Twice Bitten recordings, made in the Essex countryside (!).
