Bad Elephant Music is delighted to announce the forthcoming release of a new CD from acclaimed guitarist and composer Matt Stevens.

Entitled Archive, the album comprises a live set recorded in 2014, together with rarities, some of which are available on CD for the first time with this release. The live cuts are taken from all of Matt’s four solo releases, and are very different in presentation to the studio versions.

Says Matt: “This represents the end of my solo career for now, you need to know when to quit and after playing some amazing gigs with Steve Rothery, Jon Gomm, Nick Harper and many others I feel I’ve taken the solo guitar format as far as I can. When I first started out playing open mic gigs in 2007 I never dreamt that I’d still be doing guitar and loop pedal gigs in 2015 and that I’d end up playing the shows I’ve done. It’s great to be working with BEM on releasing it!”

“Matt’s an old friend and supporter of The Elephant”, says label manager David Elliott, “and I’m delighted he’s releasing his last solo album for a while through us. It will be a nice complement to the new The Fierce And The Dead album, which is never far away!”

Archive will be released in a limited, numbered and signed CD edition in Summer 2016, and will also be available digitally. Pre-orders will be announced soon.
